St Vincent’s Anglican Chaplaincy has been a spiritual home for the English-speaking community in the Algarve for decades. Embedded within the Diocese in Europe, we embrace a rich tradition while responding to the needs of our diverse, international congregation. We strive to be a beacon of faith, hospitality, and service in this beautiful region.
As part of the Church of England, we hold to the historic Christian faith, centered on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are a community that values scripture, reason, and tradition. We believe that God’s love is for everyone, and we seek to reflect that inclusive, welcoming love in all that we do. You do not need to be Anglican to join us—all are welcome at God’s table.
Our services follow the rich tradition of the Church of England, featuring familiar hymns, thoughtful liturgy, and a deeply reverent yet accessible atmosphere. We celebrate Holy Communion regularly and focus on Biblical teaching that resonates with modern life.
Church doesn’t end when the service does. Join us afterward for coffee, tea, and conversation. It’s the perfect way to meet new friends and connect with our community.
