St. Luke’s Church is located in the grounds of the Monte da Palhagueira retirement village.
It is located conveniently close to Loulé , Sao Bras de Alportel and Faro. The Village Hall is used for fellowship and refreshments after the Sunday service. The Church stands in an elevated position, in a rural setting , and offers a magnificent vista through its main doors making it especially popular for wedding blessings.
From the North (East or West): Take the N270 Loulé to São Brás de Alportel road. From Loulé, shortly after the Heliport on the left, take the right turn to Gorjões /Santa Barbara. Pass through Gorjões and on entering Palhagueira take the left turn up the hill and the church is on the right. From São Brás de Alportel, take the left turn to Gorjões and continue as above*.
From the South, drive approximately 2km north out of Santa Barbara de Nexe through Aldeia. Go past the road to Bordeira on the right and take the next right turn up the hill, (St. Luke’s sign on the corner).
